How to make a vCard QR code
1Fill in your details
Name, company, job title, phone, email, website and address. Only fill what you want to share.
2Keep it compact
Every field adds dots. For small business cards, skip the full address and use a website instead.
3Print it
Put it on the back of your card, your email signature image, name badge or booth sign.

Your details stay yours
The card is built on your device. We never see or store your personal information.

Guide
Putting a vCard code on a business card
Where on the card
The back of the card, with a white margin on every side. A short frame text such as "Save my contact" tells people what the code does, and a code is easier to scan when it is not competing with a photo or a coloured panel.
How small it can go
Cards are scanned from about 20 to 30 cm, so 2.5 cm wide is a safe minimum for a code with name, phone, email and website. Add the postal address and the code gets denser, so make it larger or leave the address out. Download an SVG or a PNG at 1024 px or more so the printer gets a sharp file.
When your details change
The details live inside the code, so a new number means a new code and a reprint. If your details change often, put a website QR code pointing to a contact page you can edit instead.
The business card guide goes through the fields to include and how to test a printed proof.
What is a vCard QR code?
It is a QR code containing a digital business card in the vCard format. When scanned, the phone offers to add the details as a new contact.
Which details should I include?
Name and at least one way to reach you (phone or email). Add company, title and website if they help. A full postal address makes the code denser, so leave it out for small prints.
Can I update my vCard after printing?
No. The details are inside the code. If your phone number or job changes, make and print a new code.
Does it work without internet?
Yes. The contact information is inside the code, so saving it needs no connection.
Do you see or store what I type?
No. The code is generated by JavaScript in your browser. Your content, WiFi passwords and logos are never sent to our server, and we keep no database of codes.
