Using mqrlink

mqrlink provides a free tool to create static QR codes and to scan QR codes in your browser. By using the website you agree to these terms.

Your content

You are responsible for the content you put into QR codes and for how you use them. Do not create codes that link to malware, phishing, illegal content, or that infringe anyone's rights. Because codes are created on your device, we do not review or store them.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • create codes that lead to malware, phishing pages, scams or content that is illegal where you or your audience are;
  • place codes over other people's codes, signs or property without permission;
  • use the scanner or generator to interfere with, overload or gain unauthorised access to any system;
  • copy, scrape or resell the website itself, as opposed to the codes you make with it.

Ownership

You may use the QR codes you create for any lawful personal or commercial purpose, without attribution. Logos and content you add remain yours, and you confirm you have the right to use them. The mqrlink name, website design and text belong to us.

The scanner

The scanner reads codes on your device and shows their content. It does not check whether a link is safe. Treat a scanned link like any link from an unknown source: read the address before opening it, and never enter passwords or payment details on a page you did not expect.

Availability

We may change, pause or discontinue any part of the website at any time. Static codes you have already made do not depend on this website and will keep working regardless.

Advertising

The website may display clearly labelled advertisements to cover hosting costs. Advertisers are responsible for their own content, and an advertisement is not an endorsement by us.

No warranty

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We work hard to generate standards-compliant, scannable codes and to warn about risky designs, but we cannot guarantee that every code will scan on every device, surface or print size. Always test your code before printing or publishing it.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from the use of codes created with this website, including printing costs, lost business or codes that do not scan.

Third-party links and services

QR codes may open websites or apps that we do not control. Scanned results in our scanner are shown as they are; check links before opening them.

Changes

We may update these terms. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.
