URL to QR code

Turn any link into a QR code

Paste a web address and get a QR code that opens it. The link goes straight into the code, so it keeps working for as long as your page is online.

    How it works

How to make a URL to QR code

    1. 1Paste your link

Copy the address from your browser bar. If you leave out https://, we add it for you.

    2. 2Check the preview

The code updates as you type. We flag broken addresses and block unsafe ones such as javascript: links.

    3. 3Download and test

Save it as PNG or SVG, then scan it with your phone camera before you print.

    Features

    Opens directly

No redirect or short link in between. Scanners see your real address, which builds trust.

    Nothing to renew

We host nothing for your code, so there is no subscription that can lapse and break it after you print.

    Safety checks

Only http:// and https:// links are accepted. Malformed addresses are caught before you download.

    Use cases

    Restaurant menus

Link table tents to your online menu or ordering page.

    Shop windows and packaging

Send people to a product page, manual or review form.

    Flyers and posters

Replace long, hard-to-type addresses with one scan.

    Business cards

Point to your portfolio, booking page or LinkedIn.

    Event signage

Open the schedule, map or registration form.

    Feedback and surveys

Link to a Google Form or survey right where people are.

    Guide

    • Shorter links make simpler codes. A long address with tracking parameters makes the pattern denser and harder to scan from far away. Remove anything you do not need.
    • Use a page you control. Static codes cannot be edited after printing, so link to a page whose content you can update, such as yoursite.com/menu, rather than a file that might move.
    • Want scan numbers? Add UTM parameters, for example ?utm_source=qr&utm_medium=flyer, and read them in your own website analytics.
    • Test before printing. Scan the downloaded file with at least two phones, at the size and distance people will use it.

    Questions

    Before you print

    Anything else? Write to us.

Do I need to include https://?

No. If you type example.com we add https:// automatically. If your site only works on http://, type that yourself.

Will the QR code work if I change my website?

Yes, as long as the same address still exists. The code only stores the address. If you move or delete the page, the code will open a missing page, so keep the address live or set up a redirect on your site.

Can I track static QR scans?

Not with the code itself. A static code opens your content directly, so nobody (including us) can count its scans. If you need numbers, send people to your own web page and read that page's analytics, for example with a UTM tag on the link.

    Why was my link rejected?

We only accept web addresses beginning with http:// or https:// and a real domain, like example.com. Links such as javascript:, data: or file: are blocked because they can be unsafe.

Does a static QR code expire?

No. The content is part of the pattern itself, so there is nothing to switch off. A static code keeps working as long as the printed image is readable. If it points to a web page, that page does need to stay online.
