    How it works

How to make a QR code generator

    1. 1Pick a type

Website, text, WiFi, vCard, email, SMS, WhatsApp, PDF, location, event and more. Each type shows only the fields it needs.

    2. 2Fill in the details

The preview updates as you type, and you get a clear message if something needs fixing, like a missing https:// or an invalid email.

    3. 3Style and download

Pick a template, frame, dot shape, colors or logo. Download PNG up to 4096 px, or SVG for sharp printing at any size.

    Features

Everything you need in one generator

    15 content types

Links, text, email, phone, SMS, WhatsApp, WiFi, vCard, PDF, images, video, social profiles, locations, events and app links.

    Design that still scans

Frames, rounded or dotted modules, corner styles, gradients and logos, with a live warning when contrast or logo size put scanning at risk.

    Print-ready files

PNG, SVG, JPG and WebP at 256 to 4096 px. The download size is independent of the preview, so small screens still get large files.

    Private by design

Your content never leaves your device. You do not need an account, nothing is uploaded, and we keep no database of your codes.

    Codes that never expire

Static codes contain your data directly, so they work forever, even if this site disappeared.

    Instant, even offline

After the page loads, generation needs no internet connection. It is fast on phones, too.

    Which type should you use?

Find a place or save an eventLocation or EventCoordinates or calendar details

PDF, image and video codes store a link to your file, not the file itself. A QR code can hold at most a few kilobytes, so upload the file to your website, Google Drive or Dropbox first and paste its public link.

    Questions

    Before you print

    Anything else? Write to us.

What is a static QR code?

A static QR code stores your content directly in its pattern: the web address, the text, the WiFi details. When someone scans it, their phone reads that content straight from the code. No server sits in between, so the code works without this website.

Does a static QR code expire?

No. The content is part of the pattern itself, so there is nothing to switch off. A static code keeps working as long as the printed image is readable. If it points to a web page, that page does need to stay online.

Can I create a QR code for free?

Yes. Every type and design option on mqrlink is free, with no account, no watermark and no limit on how many codes you make or download.

Can I change a static QR code later?

No. Once it is printed, a static code always contains the same content. If the details might change, point the code to a web page you control, then update that page instead. Or create a new code.

Can I track static QR scans?

Not with the code itself. A static code opens your content directly, so nobody (including us) can count its scans. If you need numbers, send people to your own web page and read that page's analytics, for example with a UTM tag on the link.

What information can a QR code contain?

Up to about 2,900 characters of text in one code. That can be a web address, plain text, an email or SMS draft, a phone number, WiFi login details, a contact card (vCard), a location, a calendar event or a link to a file.

    Can I add a logo?

Yes. Upload a PNG, JPG, SVG or WebP logo in step 2. It is placed in the centre, the dots behind it are cleared, and error correction is raised to H so the code still scans. Keep the logo under about a quarter of the code's width.

    Can I download SVG?

Yes. Open the download menu and choose SVG. SVG is a vector file that stays sharp at any size, which makes it the best choice for printing on posters, packaging and signs.
